The Goal Foundation is pleased to announce next year's Runner's EXPO and Ogden Marathon to be held Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16, 2009.

Registration for next year's marathon opens October 1, 2008. The marathon has sold out early two years in a row, so if you are interested in participating next year, register now to guarantee entry to run this beautiful course.

Ogden Seeks To Identify Rental Properties

Citizens are being asked to report possible rental properties in their neighborhood as part of a City wide effort to identify all rental dwellings and make sure they are properly licensed.

Rental properties are required by law to be licensed as a business and are encouraged to follow basic guidelines through the Good Landlord Program, which helps ensure that rental properties are an enhancement to our city’s neighborhoods.

All 2008 business license fees are due by January 31, and the City is offering a penalty-free grace period to citizens until February 5 to bring their license fees current.

Council continues to explore Water Horizons

After approving several projects in December 2007 that will improve the quality of the water and storm water service for Ogden residents and businesses, the Ogden City Council is continuing to explore ways to improve the way the City and its residents use water.

The Council is currently in the planning stages of creating a drought management plan. As with other aspects of its Water Horizons process, the Council is anxious to share drought-management information with residents. As more information becomes available, the Council will communicate it. Click here to see what the Council's Water Horizons process has yielded so far.
