Sgt. Croyle has been with involved with the Ogden City Police Department since 1992. She has served in several areas in the law enforcement through out the Ogden City Police Department. She was transferred to Community Policing in January of 2005.

Community Policing Unit

The Community Policing Unit is comprised of 10 field Officers, 1 Sergeant, and 1 Lt.
The city is divided up into eight areas, each area has a Community Policing Officer assigned to the area. An officer is assigned to the downtown/central business district. An officer is assigned as the Narcop Officer, this officer helps with crime/drug prevention and awareness, and works closely with the Weber/Morgan Narcotics Strike Force in dealing with various Drug Offenses.

Community Policing Program

The Community Policing Program is composed of Law Enforcement Officers working one-on-one with citizens in the community:with a focus on visibility, problem solving, and developing an informational working relationship between the police and the citizens they serve.

The purpose of our Community Policing Program is to increase positive interaction between the police and the community through neighborhood meetings, the use of foot patrol, bicycle patrol, sub-stations in the community, neighborhood watch meetings, support of local community events, and presenting crime prevention information to civic, schools, and community groups.

Officers utilize community resources, including citizens, private and public agencies, and local business contacts. Working together, they identify, prioritize and solve contemporary problems while improving the overall quality of life in the community.
